The first major storm of the season arrived in Lincoln County Saturday night bringing plenty of snow and blustery winds, but fortunately very little in the way of damage.
There were no power outages reported in Lincoln County as of 10 a.m. on Sunday, according to Central Maine Power. Motorists seemed to be staying off the road, with only several slide offs reported and no major accidents or incidents, according to the Lincoln County Communications Center.
Some Lincoln County areas may see snowfall accumulation meeting the National Weather Service projection of 12 to 16 inches by the time the storm moves out in the early afternoon. Dominik Lobkowicz, a reporter for The Lincoln County News, advised that 10 inches of snow had accumulated in Waldoboro as of 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.
While the possibility of mixed precipitation is still in the forecast as the storm moves out, radar images monitored at intellicast.com indicated the freeze line was still well offshore.

The Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 3 p.m. on Sunday.
