Neither the driver nor her passenger were injured when a Volkswagen Jetta rolled off the side of Rial Herald Road in Bremen June 16, according to Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy First Class Mark Bridgham.
Kristin Kentopp, 54, of Bremen, was driving the vehicle southbound with her mother, Nita Kentopp, 92, as a passenger, according to Bridgham.
“They were just on their way through,” Bridgham said. “They got crowded by another vehicle, she tried to move off to one side, and there she be.”
The vehicle came to rest on its side and roof on the outside of a sharp curve in the road.
Both appeared uninjured after the accident, but the vehicle sustained around $4,000 damage to the passenger side, he said.
Bremen Fire Department also responded to the scene. Quick Turn Auto Repair and Towing removed the vehicle.
An earlier edition of this story incorrectly listed the last names of the driver and passenger. The correct last name is Kentopp, according to updated information from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. The Lincoln County News regrets the error.
