As part of its holiday promotion this season, the Nobleboro Antique Exchange is offering Free Lobsters for every $50 of merchandise purchased between Dec. 13 and 21.
“The Nobleboro Antique Exchange is a shop representing over 70 area antique merchants, representing several coastal communities, all of which have been affected by hard times which are hitting local lobstermen,” said owner Lisa Bottero.
Hank Nevins, a dealer at the exchange, and a former Bremen selectman, proposed the idea during a recent meeting. He suggested that customers could make their holiday shopping dollar go further by purchasing some of the great antiques offered here at the exchange while supporting the local lobstermen.
Free Lobsters will be given out by gift certificates to be redeemed at the Pemaquid Co-op. The Co-op, located on 32 Co-op Rd in Pemaquid, represents over 20 lobstermen and has a ready supply of fresh product. Pemaquid Co-op Manager, Wayne Dighton said that lobsters for this promotion can be picked up until Jan. 15, 2009.
The Nobleboro Antique Exchange is located at 104 Atlantic Highway (US Rt. 1) and is open daily from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday, 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
