Nobleboro citizens, by a vote of 31-6 on April 6, validated the school budget previously approved at their March 16 town meeting.
As part of Alternative Organizational System 93, Nobleboro was required to hold a second validation vote for the first three years of the consolidated district’s budget process. The April 6 ballot included a question asking if voters wished to continue that practice. That was rejected, 8-29.
If all towns in AOS 93 vote against continuing the budget validation referendum process, future budgets will be approved in a single vote in each town.
