The Nobleboro Fire Dept. held a practice burn Oct. 17 on West Neck Road.
The department burned a small, donated cottage to give 11 of their firefighters training in how to fight a live blaze.
A generous couple that plans to build something else on the property and “thought it would help everybody if the fire department could get some training” donated the cottage, said Nobleboro Fire Chief Ryan Gallagher.
