A jury-waived trail for a Nobleboro man accused of sexually assaulting a girl in Nobleboro and Warren in 2000 and 2001 began Friday, Aug. 21.
Corey R. Pitcher, 46, faces four counts of class A gross sexual assault. The alleged victim was 12 and 13 at the time the alleged assaults are said to have occurred, between approximately May 15, 2000 and June 1, 2001, according to court documents.
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Detective Terry Michaud arrested Pitcher Feb. 28, 2014. Pitcher denies the allegations.
District Attorney Geoff Rushlau is representing the state. Brunswick attorney Matthew Bowe is representing Pitcher. Superior Court Justice Daniel Billings is hearing the case.
The alleged victim and her husband testified during the first day of the trial. The trial will resume at 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 1.
