Nobleboro voters will have their final say on the school budget that was approved at the March 16 town meeting, when they go to the polls Friday, April 5.
Another question on the ballot will ask voters if they wish to continue holding a second validation vote as part of their annual budget process.
“Town meeting is sufficient,” School Committee Chairman Joshua Hatch said in March. “I urge people to support the budget again on April 5 and vote no to discontinue the second validation vote.”
He said the second vote was required for the first three years after consolidation. If a majority of voters in all the towns in Alternative Organizational Unit 93 vote against that requirement this year, future budgets will be adopted by towns without this second step.
Polls will be open from 12-6 p.m. For information the balloting call the Nobleboro Town Office at 563-8816.
For information about the school budget call the Alternative Educational Structure 93 Central Office at 563-3044.
