A Nobleboro woman has been discharged from Central Maine Medical Center after a LifeFlight helicopter flew her to the Lewiston hospital for injuries sustained in a head-on accident in Wiscasset Wednesday, Jan. 28.
At approximately 11:15 a.m., Aimee Either-Bixby, 50, of Nobleboro, was driving a 1995 Oldsmobile south on Bath Road (Route 1) in the area of Holbrook Pond. Either-Bixby lost control of the vehicle and skidded into the northbound lane, according to the press release.
Either-Bixby’s vehicle struck a 2000 Nissan operated by Eleazar Disla Cuevas, 23, of Wiscasset, head-on, pushing Cuevas’ vehicle into the ditch adjacent to the northbound lane, according to the press release. Both vehicles were disabled.
The Wiscasset Fire Department extricated Either-Bixby from the vehicle. The Wiscasset Ambulance Service transported Either-Bixby to the Wiscasset Municipal Airport, where she was transferred to the helicopter, according to the press release.
The ambulance service transported Cuevas to LincolnHealth – Miles Campus for non-life threatening injuries where he was treated and released.
