A Special Weather Statement issued by the National Weather Service warning of “strong thunderstorms” forecast to impact Lincoln County expired at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday without any significant weather affecting the area.
However, rainfall and thunderstorms still affected some areas of Lincoln County during the evening hours.
Unstable atmospheric conditions combined with a storm line advancing from the west are factors contributing to the possibility of thunderstorms today.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued earlier on Wednesday remained in effect until 10 p.m.
