Updated Feb. 4 at 10:45 a.m. — Alert status upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning. Forecast accumulation downgraded to 4 to 8 inches.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch in regard to a weather system forecast to bring 6 to 10 inches of snowfall accumulation beginning in the early morning hours of Wednesday.
Snowfall should continue through the day then start to taper off in the evening hours, affecting both the morning and evening commute, according to the NWS.
Temps ranging in the upper 20’s to the lower 30’s during the event should keep precipitation in the form of snow, according to the NWS. Wind out of the northeast at 10 to 15 mph should not be a major factor during the storm, according to forecasts.
