The National Weather Service has issued a Special Weather Statement for Lincoln County warning of quickly accumulating snow and reduced visibility due to fog for tonight’s evening commute.
A low pressure system will move quickly from south to north through the evening, bringing 1 to 3 inches of snow in coastal areas with 2 to 4 inches expected inland, according to NWS forecasts.
Reports of several vehicles off the road are coming in across the county, from Boothbay Harbor up to Somerville.
The Lincoln County News will continue to follow this event and will post further information as it becomes available.
