The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch in advance of several weather systems forecast to affect Lincoln County through the weekend. Precipitation is forecast to begin early Saturday morning as rain or sleet and then develops into snowfall later in the day, continuing through Sunday as snowfall, according to the NWS.
The weather comes courtesy of two systems, one coming from the south that will affect the area first and the second coming from the west, affecting the area on Sunday, according to forecasters.
The snowfall type is forecast to be wet and heavy. Total snowfall accumulation for this event is forecast at 6 to 10 inches, according to the NWS.
