The blizzard warning may have expired at 7 p.m., but effects of the storm that battered Lincoln County during the overnight hours of Sunday and through Monday are lingering.
The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement saying gusty northwest winds running along the backside of the passing weather front will continue through tonight. Blowing and drifting snow will remain an issue, making travel treacherous and visibility low in some cases.
Areas of light snow may continue into the nighttime hours, but any additional accumulation will be small, according to the NWS.
