Lincoln County should see some unsettled weather overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. While no warnings or advisories have been issued by the NWS for Lincoln County at the time of this posting, a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the counties just inland of Lincoln County. Area residents can expect overnight precipitation to start as sleet or snow, leaving up to two inches of accumulation, before warmer temps move in and all precipitation changes over to rainfall, most likely melting any accumulation quickly, according to the NWS.
Lincoln County inland areas should see more sleet and snow, while coastal areas should see more rain, according to forecasters.
The Winter Weather Advisory for the inland counties begins at 6 p.m. on Tuesday and continues through 11 a.m. Wednesday, where 2 to 4 inches of snowfall are forecast before the changeover.
The Lincoln County News will continue to follow the progress of this event and post any additional information here as soon as it becomes available.
