The National Weather Service has issued a Special Weather Statement warning that a wintry mix may be moving through the Lincoln County area late this morning through the afternoon hours.
Light snow, sleet and freezing rain are expected as a warm front is replaced by a cold front during the period. Precipitation is forecast to change over to snowfall in the evening hours as sub-freezing temps return to stay for the next several days, according to forecasters.
