Ollie’s, the popular sandwich, pizza, and wrap shop in Jefferson, will close Friday, July 31. Owner Vickey Jones said she is closing up shop to take care of her mother-in-law, who has been diagnosed with cancer. Jones does not plan to reopen the store, saying she is retiring.
Ollie’s, which opened in 2010, is a warm and inviting place, where Jones welcomed people to hang out and talk and offered free Wi-Fi.
The kitchen equipment will be sold. On Monday, July 27, Ollie’s will start a half-price inventory sale, which will continue through Friday, July 31.
Jones did not own the building; she rented it from Darryl Flagg.
