One person is dead and another has been transported to Miles Memorial Hospital following a structure fire at 16 Oceanside Lane in Bristol, according to Maine Dept. of Public Safety Spokesperson Steve McCausland. Further information about the victims, the fire and access to the area have been restricted pending an investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
The fire started in the garage of the residence Sunday afternoon, according to Bristol Fire Chief Paul Leeman. Firefighters from Damariscotta, Bremen, South Bristol and Newcastle provided mutual aid during the incident.
