The driver of a Chevrolet Malibu was taken to the hospital after the vehicle struck two pickup trucks on Center Street in Nobleboro the morning of April 27, according to Lincoln County Sheriff’s Sgt. Alan Shea.
Kelly Paine, 43, of Nobleboro, was headed toward Damariscotta on Center Street in a 2008 Malibu when she blacked out due a medical issue, according to LCSO personnel.
Paine’s vehicle rear-ended a 2001 Ford F-150 operated by Matthew Bartrug, 43, of Jefferson, in the same direction, which spun out and went across a lawn, LCSO personnel said.
The Malibu then struck a parked Chevrolet Silverado, and continued on before coming to rest on some rocks, LCSO Deputy Chad Gilbert said.
Paine was taken by Central Lincoln County Ambulance to the Miles campus of LincolnHealth in Damariscotta for observation and a possible back injury, LCSO personnel said. According to LincolnHealth spokesperson Alan Crowell, she was treated and released.
Emergency services were paged out at about 7:35 a.m. Nobleboro First Responders and Damariscotta Fire Department responded, Gilbert said.
