High winds emanating from Hurricane Sandy have knocked out power in 1569 Lincoln County households, according to Central Maine Power (CMP).
The town of Bristol is hardest hit, with 1.413 households blacked out, according to CMP. The majority of these, 148, are on Bristol Rd., while the rest are widespread through the peninsula.
Boothbay Harbor, Jefferson and Southport also have a noteworthy number of outages, with a total of 11 towns suffering power outages, according to CMP.
The wide-ranging elements of Hurricane Sandy are forecast to bring dangerously high winds Monday afternoon and evening according to the National Weather Service, which has also issued a High Wind Warning for the area.
