A total of 766 households were still without power as a night with single digit temperatures in the forecast descended upon Lincoln County, according to the 5:05 p.m. (Mon., Dec. 30) report from Central Maine Power.
A vast majority of the outages, 664, were in Jefferson where residents are still reeling from power outages resulting from an ice storm over the Christmas holiday, according to CMP.
Crews from CMP had repaired most of the Christmas storm outages when another storm hit the area on Sunday night, leaving ice and heavy, wet snowfall on area trees and wires.
The Lincoln County News will continue to follow the progress of this event and post any additional information here as soon as it is obtained.
