A single vehicle roll-over accident on Bunker Hill Road (Route 213) in Jefferson the morning of Aug. 16 was the result of an over-correction by the driver, according to Deputy Justin Drake of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
Raegan Crowell, 22, of Jefferson, was headed toward Jefferson Village on Bunker Hill Road when the Volvo station wagon went onto the soft shoulder on the right side of the road, Drake said. Crowell over-corrected in her attempt to regain the roadway and went off the far side of the road before coming to rest on its roof, he said.
Crowell was transported to MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta for an apparently minor head injury, Drake said.
Bunker Hill Road was down to one lane for a period of time while emergency responders were at the scene.
Jefferson Fire and Rescue and Central Lincoln County Ambulance responded to the scene.
