Peapod jewelry artist Ronna Lugosch has added a new design to her collection of peapod designs. Called the Peapod Dragonfly, the 1-1/4-inch pin/pendant combination is available in sterling silver or 14k gold with black iridescent pearl “peas.”
Lugosch is frequently asked, ‘Why peapods?’
Although she made her first peapod designs in the 1980s, they were just a small part of her wholesale collection that she sold to stores. When she opened her Round Pond gallery she expanded the selection and her customers responded so positively that she decided to add more.
“I had no idea that the concept of peapod jewelry would be so inspiring to people. Then I started to make designs that combine peapods with other entities and my customers became so enthused that they started to contribute ideas for new designs. I choose the concepts that have the most creative design potential, but I am very grateful to get the input,” Lugosch said.
