Bristol voters elected Clyde Pendleton Sr. to serve a three-year term on the Bristol Parks and Recreation Commission during the annual election of officers Monday, March 21.
Pendleton narrowly defeated longtime Bristol Parks and Recreation Commissioner Gordon Benner 131-128.
Benner served as a member of the commission for almost 13 years and was chairman of the commission for nine years.
In other races, voters re-elected Bristol Selectman Harry “Terry” Lowd III to the Bristol Board of Selectmen.
Bristol Planning Board members Andrea Cox and Robert Cushing were re-elected to the board. Cox currently serves as the planning board chair.
Bristol School Committee members Sarah Cook Mathieson and Bonnie Sablinsky were also re-elected.
All terms are for three years.
