The Lincoln County Emergency Management Agency is notifying residents of Bristol, Damariscotta, and South Bristol of a phone service outage in parts of those towns the night of Friday, July 19.
The outage affects customers of Tidewater Telecom Inc., of Nobleboro, which is aware of the outage and working to restore service, according to a Facebook post by Lincoln County EMA. In addition to landline phones, the outage affects internet service.
As Tidewater works to restore service, Lincoln County EMA is asking residents to check on their neighbors, especially those who might not have cellphones, as they may not be able to call for help in an emergency.
