The power outage originally expected for parts of the towns of Newcastle, Damariscotta, Bristol, and South Bristol on Friday, Nov. 15, resulting from an incident causing the closure of Jones Woods Road in Newcastle from West Hamlet Road to Bunker Hill Road, will not be as widespread as first expected, according to Lincoln County Emergency Management Agency Director Casey Stevens. The closure will possibly only affect parts of Newcastle and a little of Damariscotta, and not Bristol and South Bristol, as previously stated, Stevens said.
