Central Maine Power Co. is reporting 182 power outages in Boothbay Harbor, concentrated in the Spruce Point area, as of the 2:06 p.m. CMP report. The rest of Lincoln County appears to be faring well as blizzard conditions begin to dissipate in the area. The only other outages presently reported are in South Bristol, with two households affected on Winks Way.
A blizzard warning issued by the National Weather Service remains in effect until 7 p.m. on Monday. Current radar images monitored on intellicast.com indicate the storm system is moving steadily to the east, and conditions in Lincoln County are improving. However, the counter-clockwise rotation of the system continues to bring the possibility of additional snowfall from the north until the entire weather system moves off shore later today.
Lincoln County Emergency Management Agency Director Casey Stevens urges residents to clear any snow affecting the exhaust vents of their home heating systems to protect against the possibility of carbon-monoxide poisoning.
