Power outages were on the increase in Lincoln County following a night with high winds and heavy rainfall.
Power outages increased from 27 to 81 during the overnight hours, with households in six Lincoln County towns affected by the outages. Boothbay and Nobleboro were hardest hit, with 25 households in each town suffering from power outages, according to Central Maine Power.
The blustery weather is forecast to continue through the day on Thursday before winding down Friday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
A Flood Watch issued by the NWS remains in effect until Thursday evening. A Coastal Flood Advisory is also in effect for the morning high tide, which is 11:34 a.m. at 10 feet in Newcastle.
