The Damariscotta River Association’s annual meeting will take place Sun., July 11. The evening will feature a talk by Brian Dean Curran, former U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Haiti, about the state of the island nation six months after the earthquake.
The event will begin at 4:30 p.m. and continue until about 7 p.m. in the Darrows Barn at Round Top Farm. Food and beverages by Newcastle Publick House will be available at a reasonable cost. The event is otherwise free of charge and the public is welcome to attend.
The evening will also offer an opportunity to welcome new DRA board members and to thank outgoing trustees for their years of service.
The meeting will also include an opportunity to purchase advanced tickets for Roots + Reggae by the Bay, learn about education, land protection and stewardship, and how the DRA fared financially this year.
