Radio Shack, the popular electronics retail store chain, is coming back to Damariscotta.
Russ Brackett, the owner of the Radio Shack/Video Loft/U.S. Cellular outlet in Boothbay Harbor, is opening a brand new store in the Elm Street Plaza in a space once occupied by a beauty shop.
Tom Dewey, a longtime Brackett Boothbay employee, will be the general manager of the store.
“We believe this is a good location in a good community,” said Brackett.
“Although we are still in the process of putting together the store, customers have been stopping in asking for items. They seem to be happy we are opening,” he said.
The veteran retailer said he plans to offer a full line of electronics including TV sets, GPS, computer and electronic cables, batteries, and antennas.
In the near future, Brackett said he plans to open a U.S. Cellular outlet in his new location.
The store is scheduled to open Friday Nov. 20.
