Chief Bill Labombarde of the Waldoboro Police is asking for help from the community on a spate of burglaries that occurred on Aug. 4 off Rt. 32. He’s hoping the public has seen a suspicious vehicle or activity in the area.
“We had two burglaries on the 4th and no suspects,” said Labombarde, “and it is an open investigation.”
Labombarde believes Waldoboro’s two incidents are similar to another the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) is investigating.
“I believe the other burglary has the same ‘MO’ the county is working on,” Labombarde said.
According to Labombarde, the burglars successfully entered two residences, both off Rt. 32, one on North Nobleboro Road, and one on Orff’s Corner Road. “The method of entry was the same and the same stuff taken,” the Chief said. He said only personal property was stolen, “no prescriptions or cash.”
The Lincoln County News will update this story on the website.
Chief Labombarde asks the public to report any suspicious vehicles or activity by calling the Waldoboro Police Dept. at 832-4500 and asking for Detective Lance Mitchell.
