It’s too bad the home team didn’t do as well as their cookies during the most recent Red Sox/Yankees series, said David Atwater of The Bakery, the new bakery in downtown Damariscotta.
Each time the Boston and New York baseball teams plays a series, Atwater said, “We’ll sell team cookies, and announce the following week which team sold the most. All proceeds from these cookie sales will go to the Community Energy Fund.”
In the most recent series, played at the end of last week, Red Sox cookies outsold Yankee cookies 21 to 6.
