Edward and Lou Reed of East Machias, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Vanessa Lorraine Reed to Andrew Richard Chapman, son of Samuel and Carolyn Chapman of Waldoboro.
Vanessa is a 1995 graduate of Washington Academy and a 2001 graduate of UMM with a BS in Recreation Management. She is currently pursuing her BSN in Nursing while being employed full time as a Pharmacy Technician at Penobscot Bay Medical Center in Rockport.
She is also serving as an EMT-I for several local ambulance services.
Andrew graduated in 1995 from Medomak Valley High School and in 2000 from Unity College with a BS in both Ecologies and Environmental Sciences. He currently is self employed operating Aquatic Resources Development Fish Hatchery in Waldoboro and for Chapman Construction as a carpenter.
The couple has planned an August 2009 wedding.
