The Boothbay Fire Dept. and the United States Coast Guard (USCG) responded to the area of the Damariscotta River near Meadow Island for a possible missing boater Friday evening, and were able to ascertain that no one was missing, according to the Lincoln County Communications Center (LCCC).
People on shore originally reported a small motor vessel running in circles with no one aboard at approximately 5:45 p.m., according to reports.
Rescuers responding to the call were able to clear up the situation and secure the boat in question.
