The Board of Directors of Damariscotta Bank & Trust Co. (DB&T) announces the appointment of Scott Conant to the office of president and CEO.
Chester Rice, Chairman of the board of the bank, said in making the announcement that, “Scott brings many years of experience to the office as well as an understanding of the important role community banks play in the communities they serve.”
Conant was also appointed president of the bank’s holding company, Damariscotta Bankshares, Inc. He is replacing Tom Finn who, after nearly 25 years of service at DB&T, retired at the end of January.
Conant joined the bank in 1993 and most recently served as the senior vice president and treasurer. He has spent over 34 years in banking and has had a wide range of responsibilities.
He is a graduate of Husson University in Bangor with a BS in Accounting and also the Banking Industry’s National School of Finance and Management located on the campus of Fairfield University.
He has been involved with many organizations over his career including the Boy Scouts of America, Junior Achievement, the YMCA and the United Way. He is a past member of a variety of service clubs. Scott and his wife Debbie live in Damariscotta. They have three grown children.
