A traffic collision near the intersection of Routes 1 and 27 in Edgecomb temporarily stopped traffic on Rt. 1 after 3 p.m. Dec. 9.
According to The Lincoln County News reporter on the scene, the accident apparently involved two vehicles, an SUV and a Toyota Prius that appear to have collided and come to rest on the southbound side of the road. The SUV completely overturned after the crash and came to rest on its roof.
LCN reporter Alec Brodsky observed the operator of the Prius removed from the scene by ambulance.
Wiscasset and Edgecomb firefighters, supported by Wiscasset police and Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene.
