The National Weather Service (NWS) is has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning regarding a line of strong thunderstorms that will impact Lincoln County through 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday.
The NWS warns that this line of thunderstorms may produce a tornado.
“Hail up to 3/4 inch in diameter, heavy downpours, excessive cloud to ground lightning and gusty winds up to 45 and 55 mph can be expected,” according to the NWS.
The Boothbay peninsula, Wiscasset and Dresden are directly in the path of this storm, which is tracking in from the south-southeast.
