The second round of Shaper’s Biggest Loser has a new winner. Member Becky Benton won the contest, losing over 20 pounds and 10.27 percent of her weight.
Combining a healthy diet with a steady dose of exercise at Shapers was all Becky needed to succeed. She said, “It’s a lifestyle change. You know what you have to eat. It’s not a matter of denial – it’s about making better life choices.” Becky quoted from “Dinatopia,” don’t live to eat – eat to live.
Manager Lil Garcia said anyone can attain success by sticking to the Biggest Loser concepts. Medical experts are always citing the fact that healthy eating and exercise are the keys to living longer, living smarter.
“The proof is in the pudding, or jello,” Lil said.
Tami Morrison, a nurse for Pen Bay Medical Center, and AFAA trained instructor, leads the program at Shapers and is very instrumental in helping the contestants reach their goals.
