Fluctuating temperatures, snow, rain and ice made traveling on Lincoln County’s roadways difficult on Jan. 16, with many accidents and vehicles off the road.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to 28 such calls, according to Lt. Rand Maker. The first call came in at 7:18 a.m. and the last came in at 10:17 p.m., he said.
Only 12 of the 28 calls required filing an accident report for either damage in excess of $1000 or personal injury. No one was seriously injured in any of the accidents, Maker said.
