Six Lincoln County applicants will receive $543,988 in broadband infrastructure grants from the ConnectME Authority.
Alna will receive the biggest award, at $122,042. Tidewater Telecom, the Nobleboro-based communications company, will receive the other five for projects in Bremen, Jefferson, New Harbor, Nobleboro and South Bristol.
The six projects will extend the availability of high-speed Internet service to and/or improve already available service for 442 households in those towns.
A spreadsheet available on the authority’s website lists details of the projects. For more information, visit http://www.maine.gov/connectme.
