Road conditions and speed were factors in a single vehicle accident in Waldoboro this morning, according to Waldoboro Police Officer Sean Kozer.
Jonathan Achorn, of Friendship, was operating a 2004 Dodge Ram pickup northbound on Winslows Mills Road when the vehicle left the roadway and landed in a small brook, missing a guardrail and nearby trees, Kozer said.
Achorn sustained no injuries, but the truck was totaled, Kozer said.
Traffic was limited to one lane and eventually stopped in both directions as the vehicle was removed from the brook. Units from the Waldoboro Fire Department were on scene directing traffic.
Kozer was called to the scene of the accident at 6:26 a.m., he said.
