The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office announces today an investigation of a home invasion at a residence on the Patricktown Road (Rt. 105) in the town of Somerville.
At 9:44 a.m., June 23, the Lincoln County Communication Center received a 911 call from an elderly woman stating a man was outside her home attempting to break in.
The woman stayed on the line with the Communications Officer and hid in her bedroom while deputies were being dispatched to the scene.
After a few moments, the man forced open the back door and entered the home. Once the man came face to face with the female resident, he seemed surprised and immediately fled the home.
After the arrival of the responding deputies, a K-9 tracked the man a short distance where it appears he fled the area in a motor vehicle. There is no description available of the vehicle at this time.
A composite sketch was done of the suspect.
The man is described as a white male, over the age of 45, medium height and build, weighing approximately 150-175 lbs. The man has graying or white hair and was unshaven.
He was last seen wearing a dirty white baseball type cap, blue jeans and a long sleeved button up collared shirt with a white and blue or black-checkered pattern.
This investigation in on-going and all current leads are being followed up on by Deputies and Detectives from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
