A thundering overnight storm plunged Boothbay, Bristol and South Bristol into darkness as dozens of downed trees snapped power lines. South Bristol Fire Chief Mitch Mitchell predicted some residents could be out of power for a week while crews cut clear downed trees. No injuries were reported.
