Lincoln County Emergency Management Deputy Director Kimberley White Kaiser, said at this hour there are reports of 60 roads without power in Lincoln County. It’s reported that 13 towns have sections without power.
The majority of those roads are in the Boothbay Harbor, Boothbay, Bristol, South Bristol, and Bremen areas.
Winds have been sustained at 30 miles per hour and gusting to 52-60 miles per hour at Pemaquid Point over the last hour. This causes loose tree limbs and trees to fall on electric supply lines, telephone lines, and cable.
Please do not attempt to touch, move, or correct any lines by any means. Never drive over any downed lines, as they should all is considered “live” and dangerous.
Flooding at this hour is the expected roads throughout the county.
Wiscasset reports storm drains being taxed on the Bradford Road with the nearly 2.5 inches of rain that has fallen since early this morning.
Clogged storm drains with leaves will continue to cause localized flooding throughout the day. Never drive through any puddle or swift moving streams that cross the roads – washouts under the water are a definite possibility and considered dangerous.
