Supplies Unlimited, the printing and office supply store that has been a staple in Damariscotta for more than 11 years, has opened a new location in Waldoboro just off Rt. 1 on Winslows Mills Road.
The Damariscotta store will remain open, the owners said.
The new store opened Feb. 7 and offers all the same printing, copying, faxing, UPS shipping, screen printing, embroidery, vinyl lettering, signs and office supplies that are offered at the Damariscotta store.
The in-store selection of office supplies is slightly smaller than in Damariscotta because the building not as big, but anything offered at the Damariscotta store can be brought to the Waldoboro store same-day upon request, said owner Gary Gravel.
Gravel and his wife, Jane Gravel, are excited about the new store, and said they opened it in response to popular demand.
“A lot of people come from this area to the old store,” Gary Gravel said. “We’re giving it a shot.”
This location will also facilitate Supplies Unlimited in continuing to provide their long-standing free shipping. They ship “from Warren to Boothbay and Woolwich, and sometimes down to Brunswick and Bath; wherever it calls for,” Gravel said.
The new store will be managed by 22-year-old Waldoboro resident Jane Katie Bellows, who worked at the Damariscotta location prior to the opening of the Waldoboro store.
“I’m excited to be up here and running a store,” Bellows said. “I was a little nervous the first day, but things are going well.”
The Waldoboro location is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
For the time being, the store is offering all area business clients 25 free black and white copies. As always, they promise to “match any competitor’s regular price,” and their prices are “often lower than the chains already,” Gravel said.
