On Oct. 20, officers from of the Wiscasset Police Dept. responded to a reported burglary at the Taste of Orient Restaurant located at 306 Bath Road.
Evidently the restaurant had been burglarized some time prior to the report. Management had attempted to determine the source of the burglary in the time prior to reporting the crime.
A subsequent investigation into the matter by Officer Mark Walsh determined that two suspects had broken into the restaurant. They were identified as Michael Connors, 31, and Kevin Delong, 33, both of Wiscasset.
The two suspects had stolen approximately 14 bottles of alcohol and cash valued at almost $1000.
On Oct. 23, officers of the Wiscasset Police Dept. arrested and interviewed both subjects with the assistance of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. Each was subsequently transported to Two Bridges Regional Jail pending bail.
