According to AAA, the average price of a gallon of regular, unleaded gas in Maine was $3.169 Jan. 12, up 0.8 cents from a week ago and 36.5 cents from a year ago. The average prices for plus, premium and diesel were $3.418, $3.514 and $3.535, respectively.
For the third consecutive week, the lowest price for regular, unleaded gas in Lincoln County was in Waldoboro. Two stations, Big Apple and Twin Stop, tied at $3.089, the same low price as last week.
Dave’s A.G. in Boothbay and Skip Cahill Tire in Edgecomb tied for the best full service price at $3.159 – also for the third week in a row. Four stations – Big Apple, Colby & Gale (Damariscotta), Mr. Mike’s (Damariscotta) and the North Whitefield Superette – tied for the low diesel price at $3.499, the same low price as last week.
