Drivers using the Turner Road in Bremen on a regular basis may have noticed an odd new street name: Megalope Trail.
The owners of the private road, Tamara Stock and Robin Moody, recently received their new street sign and it now stands at the end of their driveway at 435 Turner Rd.
When the town told the homeowners they needed to come up with a name for their driveway, the decision was fairly easy, Stock said – they named it after their dog.
The dog’s name is Megan. She’s a large dog, and her galloping stride has earned her the nickname Megalope.
“She’s one that uses it the most,” Stock said. “So Megalope Trail just made sense.”
