A Warren man and two New York women were arrested in Warren on Thursday, March 15 for allegedly trafficking crack cocaine in Knox and Lincoln counties.
Shaundrea Fuller, 20, of Buffalo, N.Y.; Joseph Malburg, 52, of Warren; and Raquel Renfro, 18, of Rochester, N.Y., face one charge each of aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs (crack cocaine).
For the three weeks prior to the arrest, the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency had conducted an investigation into the distribution of crack cocaine in Knox and Lincoln counties by two New York women.
Fuller and Renfro were staying at motels and residences in the two counties, where they would allegedly sell crack cocaine to local users, according to a press release from the Maine Department of Public Safety. MDEA agents conducted several undercover purchases of crack cocaine from the two during the investigation.
On Thursday night, agents from the MDEA’s Mid-Coast District Task Force, assisted by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and Maine State Police, searched a home at 3270 Atlantic Highway in Warren, owned by Malburg. The trio was arrested there without incident.
Seized from the residence were 50 grams of crack cocaine, 10 grams of cocaine hydrochloride, $1,000 in suspected drug proceeds, and other evidence of drug trafficking. The approximate street value of the seized drugs is $9,000.
All were transported to the Knox County Jail, where bail was set at $50,000 cash for Fuller and Renfro. Malburg’s bail was set at $2,500 cash.
Also assisting in the investigation were the Rockport and Waldoboro police departments.
