A three-car collision on Rt. 1 near the Medomak Veterinary Service in Waldoboro on June 21 around 4 p.m. caused traffic delays for a little more than an hour, but did not result in any serious injuries, said Waldoboro Police Chief Bill Labombarde.
John Emerson, 52, of Waldoboro, was northbound on Rt. 1 when he slowed to take a left into a driveway. Dorothy Conner, 76, of Washington, told police she didn’t see Emerson stop before she rear-ended him, spinning his car into the southbound lane, Labombarde said.
Mary Cote, 48, of Brunswick, was southbound and hit Emerson’s car.
There were no serious injuries to any of the drivers, or Cote’s passengers, Rosemary Cote, 18, and Abigail Cote, 20, both of Brunswick, Labombarde said.
No charges are being pressed against any of the drivers, Labombarde said.
Conner’s vehicle sustained about $8000 in damage, Emerson’s vehicle sustained about $5000 in damage and Cote’s vehicle sustained about $200 in damage, Labombarde said.
Waldoboro police, Waldoboro EMS and Waldoboro Fire responded to the scene.
