A three-car non-injury collision in Damariscotta Aug. 17 snarled up traffic as police responders attempted to sort through the perplexing series of events.
According to Damariscotta Police Officer Jenny Mitkus, a red 2008 Toyota Tacoma operated by Kerry Rodriguez-Alsageme, 70, of Newcastle, was traveling south on Bus. Rt. 1 when she stopped to allow a blue 2003 Ford Focus to turn into traffic from Women of Substance.
The Focus, operated by Courtney Teele, 24, of Waldoboro, was turning onto Rt. 1 when it was struck by a white 2005 Toyota Corolla operated by June Gallant, 49, of Nobleboro.
The collision sent Teele’s vehicle into the side of the Rodriguez-Alsageme Tacoma. “It was just unfortunate,” said Rodriguez-Alsageme.
All vehicles were towed. No one was transported by ambulance, and estimated damage to each vehicle is currently unknown.
